Our infant school program intentionally blends nurturing relationships with innovative early childhood education so children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively at their own pace. We use the Frog Street curriculum because it is grounded in current early childhood education research and designed specifically for babies. Through child-centered, intentional activities, we stimulate curiosity, engagement, and early learning while honoring each baby's unique needs and routines. This approach supports early learning without pressure, helping children build a strong foundation for future success.
Daily Routine
Each baby's day flows gently around their individual needs for feeding, sleeping, movement, play, and connection. Predictable routines, paired with responsive caregiving, help babies feel safe and understood. This sense of security supports emotional regulation, curiosity, and early development.

Our infant child's classroom is designed to feel warm, peaceful, and welcoming, with dedicated spaces for rest, play, and care. Babies are fed in rocking chairs, comforted in loving arms, and cared for by amazing teachers/classroom guides trained in early childhood education, first aid, and infant development. About Our Infant Child Care Program in Cedar Park
From the very first day your baby enters our care, every moment is shaped with intention, love, and deep respect for how infants grow. The first eighteen months are not just about milestones, they are about building trust, feeling safe, and discovering the world through caring relationships. In our infant program, your baby is gently guided through this extraordinary stage of development by familiar, loving adults who become a consistent and comforting presence each day. Your baby's days are filled with meaningful moments that support early milestones. Hearing familiar voices and seeing familiar faces helps your baby feel secure and connected. Warm responses to smiles, sounds, and gestures help your baby feel understood. Safe opportunities to move, stretch, and explore help strengthen growing bodies, while shared moments of connection lay the groundwork for early social bonds. Our infant school program is thoughtfully designed to align with developmental milestones identified by pediatric and early childhood experts, supporting growth through responsive care, play, and connection in ways that feel natural and comforting.
From 6 weeks to 18 Months: Supporting Early Education and Development
During the first eighteen months of life, your baby's brain develops at an astonishing pace, forming millions of neural connections that shape emotional security, communication, and learning for years to come. Research shows that loving, responsive relationships, predictable routines, and rich sensory experiences during this stage play a critical role in helping babies feel safe, regulate emotions, and reach key developmental milestones. At Bright Star Academy, our infant program is intentionally designed around how babies grow, pairing consistent caregiving with language-rich interactions, gentle movement, and sensory exploration that evolves month by month. This thoughtful structure allows your baby to build trust, curiosity, and confidence in a nurturing environment that supports healthy brain development and lifelong learning from the very beginning.
Language-Rich Environment
Long before your baby ever says their first word, they are learning how communication works. They learn through eye contact, facial expressions, gentle gestures, tone of voice, and loving conversation. Our classroom guides speak softly to your baby during care routines, sing familiar songs, read simple stories, and respond thoughtfully to coos, movements, and expressions. These repeated, loving exchanges help your baby begin to understand meaning, rhythm, and connection, supporting early communication and emotional bonding. Research shows that this kind of consistent verbal and nonverbal interaction during infancy supports early language development and strengthens the brain pathways needed for future learning.
Sensory Exploration and Learning
Your baby learns about the world through their senses. Touch, sound, movement, and visual experiences all help shape how the brain grows and connects. Our infant curriculum intentionally includes gentle sensory experiences that align with monthly developmental milestones, allowing your baby to explore in ways that feel safe, calm, and meaningful. Soft textures, simple cause-and-effect materials, soothing sounds, and visually engaging objects invite your baby to explore at their own pace. These sensory experiences are carefully chosen to support brain development, attention, and early problem-solving, while never overwhelming your baby.
Social and Emotional Development
Your baby's emotional world is at the heart of everything we do. Babies thrive when they know they are cared for by familiar, responsive adults who understand their cues and respond with patience and love. In our program, consistent caregiving helps your baby form secure attachments that create a deep sense of safety and belonging. When your baby feels upset, tired, or unsure, a trusted classroom guide offers comfort and reassurance. When your baby is calm and curious, that same educators encourages exploration and engagement. Over time, these predictable, loving responses help your baby begin to regulate emotions, build trust, and develop early independence. Harvard's Center on the Developing Child explains that responsive, nurturing relationships in infancy help build strong emotional foundations that support lifelong learning and well-being.
Movement and Play
Movement is one of the most important ways your baby learns. Rolling, reaching, stretching, and crawling are not just physical milestones, they are moments of discovery and confidence-building. Our play-based curriculum intentionally includes daily opportunities for safe movement that support both physical growth and brain development. Research confirms that early movement supports coordination, cognitive development, and overall health. Our classrooms provide all the space your baby needs to move comfortably and confidently, always within a calm and secure environment.
Individualized Care and Practical Routines
Your baby's sense of security is strengthened through familiar routines and predictable care. Feeding, sleeping, and care times follow your baby's individual schedule, helping them feel calm and understood throughout the day. These consistent routines support emotional regulation by letting your baby know what to expect and who will be there to meet their needs. By honoring your home routines and responding to your baby's cues, we create a seamless, loving experience that supports comfort, trust, and well-being from home to school.

Best place! Have 2 kids there (toddlers, preschool) and I defiantly recommend! The teachers are amazing, each and every one of them. My children receive so much warmth and love there, and they go to school with a smile. The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant, and I always feel that my children are in good hands. I can always visit there and see what's going on, and I'll always be greeted with a smile. The school itself is beautiful, with fun and inviting facilities for the children. I highly recommend it to everyone!

We have really enjoyed our time at this daycare, and it has truly been an ease for our family. The teachers are wonderful, and the environment is welcoming and nurturing. My son loves going every day, and it’s clear that the staff puts a lot of care into everything they do. One thing I would suggest improving is the food offered. It would be great to see healthier options with less processed meat, sodium, and sugary snacks, as we’re trying to encourage better eating habits at home. Additionally, I wanted to mention that we have a large Ukrainian community in Cedar Park. As president of the Ukrainian Sunday School of Austin, I often hear parents asking if any daycare offers Ukrainian language groups or classes. Many families would be thrilled to find such a program and would consider changing schools for it. Would you be interested in starting a Ukrainian language program for kids? I believe it could bring in a lot of interest from our community!
